The Changing Trail - An Avalon Western
Published in Hardcover by Thomas Bouregy & Co (24 June, 1998)
Average review score:

What a wonderful story! The Changing Trail is my first Avalon Western, but it won't be my last. The fifth book in Tracy Dunham's Mythmaker series, I was worried I would be lost, but it was easy to pick up the pieces I missed and lose myself in the story. Mythmaker, the name Elizabeth McFarland gave herself years ago, is at a crossroad. In order to move into the future with her husband, Johnny Two Hats, Mythmaker has to reconcile with her brother, with her past. Forces seem to be with her as she reunites with all those she loves as she runs from a lynchmob. Excitement, history and love fill the Changing Trail and though I haven't read the first four books, you can bet I will . . . and soon! Tracy Dunahm put the wset into a book, but more than that, she put Mythmaker's story right in the center of my keeper shelf!

The best of PruittThe novel begins with Abby in search of employment. She finds herself employed as a nanny to the Kraft family. Abby is taken in by the two children immediatly. But the widower father, Stephen Kraft is not as taken in. He tells Abby, that despite the fact that she will work for them, he has hopes of a strictly business relationship. With her quick wit, and sharp British accent, Abby gives Stephen retort after retort. Eventually, the air between Abby and Stephen are practically boiling. Between the children and Stephen's grief over his lost wife, Abby finds herself as the perfect solution to their problems. Her eccentric outfits, and witty comebacks are what bring laughter to the household. But the loss of his wife has left Stephen with a cold heart. It seems that all is lost until Stephen finds himself making all the same mistakes over again. He is about to lose the most important thing to him. *A MUST READ!
